Lakers Fast Break

The Lakers set out on their most important game of the season with a do-or-die matchup against Oklahoma City in Game Three of the NBA Playoffs Second Round. And even with Rui Hachimura and Luke Kennard lighting it up from three (9-14 combined), the Lakers could only muster a one-point lead at the half. But as has been the trend of the series so far, the second half proved to be a different story as the Thunder's superior depth wore down LA as they hit another gear and dusted off the Lakers in easy fashion, 131-108 to go down 3-0 and on the cusp of being eliminated. The Lakers looked to rebound from a disappointing loss in Game One of the Western Conference Semi-Finals as they faced off one more time against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night. And after fighting tooth and nail with OKC and grabbing a precarious one-point lead at the half, the Thunder just like in game one never seemed deterred as they broke it open with a strong third and even a Lakers fourth quarter comeback to down five was easily thwarted due to turnovers, bad referees, and more depth on the part of the Thunder as they pull away to take a 2-0 series lead with a 125-107 victory.
