The Work Podcast Episode 56 - MeatStock 2026

5/8/2026
In this episode of The Work, Greg and I recap a wild weekend at MeatStock — from the massive jump in attendance, stacked vendors, and killer carnivore food scene, to black bears trying to break into the cabin for Keto Bricks. We talk about the energy of the conference, the value of getting face-to-face with the community, and why seeing real people benefit from the work makes all the long days worth it. We also get into carnivore products, regenerative ag, raw chicken experiments, lifting without carbs, the genetics excuse, and some big things coming down the pipeline for Keto Brick. MeatStock knocked it out of the park, and we’re fired up for what’s next. The Work Podcast Episode 55 - Changes Coming

5/1/2026
On this episode of The Work, Greg and I kick things off with a little anniversary talk — seven years married to Crystal and somehow still going strong. From there, we dive into everything happening behind the scenes as we get ready for Meatstock: booth prep, Keto Brick samples, new flavors, team travel, workouts, and the chaos that comes with taking the whole operation on the road. We also get into the less glamorous side of business — rising costs, changing discount tiers, staying transparent with customers, and refusing to cut corners on quality just to protect margins. Then we wrap with training talk, higher-volume programming, the free Savage Strength app, and why the basics still work when you actually stick to them. As always, it’s a mix of business, nutrition, training, real food, real work, and a little bit of nonsense along the way. The Work Podcast Episode 54 - New Training Split

4/24/2026
In this episode of The Work, Greg and I finally get back in the same room after a few weeks of travel, family time, seafood, beach trips, and training in some pretty solid gyms. We recap the trips, talk about staying on track while traveling, and dig into the reality of balancing family, business, animals, lifting, and all the moving pieces that come with trying to live intentionally. Then we shift gears into training and map out a new four-day split we’re calling No Junk Volume. The goal is to move away from the easy-button approach, increase intentional volume, push into the kind of discomfort that actually builds something, and give the body enough recovery to grow. Less ego lifting, more controlled reps, more blood flow, more purpose behind every set. It’s going to suck in the best way possible. The Work Podcast Episode 53 - Own It

4/17/2026
Just got back from a couple weeks of travel and had some time to really think, reflect, and honestly zoom out on life a bit. This episode is a solo one—Greg’s out this week—but I wanted to sit down and talk through something that’s been on my mind after a post I made sparked way more backlash than I expected. Not because of the topic itself, but because of what the reaction revealed about how people are thinking right now. At the core of it, this episode is about ownership. Not perfection, not control over everything—because that’s not reality—but ownership over what you can control. Your health, your habits, your mindset, and the downstream impact those things have—not just on you, but on your kids and generations to come. There’s a lot we don’t know, but there’s also a lot we do know, and ignoring that in favor of a victim mindset is one of the most disempowering ways to live. I’m not here to judge anybody or point fingers. I’m just sharing how I see the world and what’s helped me move forward with purpose. If there’s one takeaway, it’s this: you don’t need perfect conditions to make progress—you just need to take ownership of the hand you’ve been dealt and play it to the best of your ability. That shift alone can change everything. The Work Podcast Episode 52 - No Short Cuts

4/10/2026
This episode was a bit more off-the-cuff, but honestly, that’s where some of the most real conversations happen. We started out talking about conversations with people who see the world completely differently—whether that’s vegans, opposing ideologies, or just people outside your normal circle. And the big takeaway is simple: we need more of that. Not echo chambers. Not algorithms telling you what to think. Real dialogue. Because right now, most people aren’t actually thinking for themselves—they’re outsourcing their opinions to headlines, social media, and whatever narrative is trending. That led us into a deeper conversation about philosophy, and honestly, that’s the stuff that fires me up more than anything. Training, nutrition—that’s all important—but learning how to think is the real foundation. Because once you lose that, you start chasing shortcuts, hacks, and quick fixes in every area of life. And the truth is, anything I’m actually proud of—anything that’s lasted—came from time, effort, and consistency. There’s no hack for that. You can’t fake it, you can’t shortcut it, and trying to usually just puts you further behind in the long run. So we’re doubling down on that mindset—both in life and in training. Moving away from what’s trendy and easy, and leaning into what actually works, even if it’s harder. More volume, more effort, more intention. Same thing applies outside the gym too—whether it’s parenting, health, or building something meaningful. The world is obsessed with fast results and surface-level wins, but that’s a race to the bottom. If you want something real—strength, health, legacy—you’ve got to play the long game. No shortcuts. The Work Podcast Episode 51 - Let’s Talk Labs

4/3/2026
This episode was a solid reminder that progress comes from understanding your body, not fearing it. We walked through blood work, hormones, and lipid panels, and the big takeaway is simple: track trends, don’t obsess over single numbers. After years of consistent ketogenic living, my markers - insulin, inflammation, overall stability - have stayed steady. That flies in the face of a lot of the narratives out there, but the data over time is what matters, not the noise. We also dug into the realities of pushing your body—whether through contest prep or extended fasting. Hormones will downregulate in a deficit, that’s just part of the game. But being fat-adapted changes the experience entirely. You’re not dragging yourself through the day - you’re still performing, still thinking clearly, still getting work done. And fasting, more than anything, exposes your habits. It shows you how much of your eating is actually hunger versus routine, boredom, or emotion. The bigger picture here is mindset. Right now, the world is chasing shortcuts -quick fixes, drugs, anything that avoids doing the work. But none of that replaces discipline. If the habits aren’t in place, the results won’t last. The people who actually succeed are the ones willing to do what’s hard, consistently, over time. That’s the difference—and that’s who we’re speaking to. The Work Podcast Episode 50 - Where People Fail

3/27/2026
This episode is a straight-up reality check—because too many people are out here majoring in the minors and completely neglecting the fundamentals. We talk about the conference, the travel, the research on cholesterol and metabolic health—all important stuff—but none of it matters if you’re not doing the basics. You’ve got people obsessing over biomarkers, blue light, and nuanced data… yet they’re not training, they’re not moving, and they’re not taking ownership of their body. That’s the disconnect. We also get into this massive surge in “protein” products hitting the market. Everything is protein now—but most of it is just ultra-processed garbage with a label slapped on it. More protein isn’t the goal. Better inputs are the goal. If you’re not reading ingredients and thinking critically, you’re getting played. At the core of it all is discipline and purpose. If you don’t have a clear direction, you drift—and when you drift, you default to comfort. Training is the antidote to that. It builds structure, resilience, and carries over into every area of your life. Bottom line: stop looking for hacks. Train hard. Eat with intention. Take responsibility. You get one body—don’t waste it.
